The Russian Revolution to place during the end of World War II. It ended up transforming the Russian Empire and the monarchy views into the first Communist state in the whole world. Vladmir Lenin was the first leaders of this new Comunist Goverment. Right after Vladmir Lenin took office he pulled Russai out of world war one. When Vladmit Lenin died there were many desputes on who would take his place. The two main men for the job was Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky.
